Instagram users will now enjoy dark mode on iOS 13 and Android 10 devices

Dark Screen Fans will be very happy to know that Instagram is now offering Dark Theme option on iOS 13 and Android 10 devices.  The news was revealed by a short tweet by Instagram head Adam Moseri.

In his tweet, he said that the camera screen has got a visual makeover in the much enjoyed Soil Media app Instagram.

Instagram has made this new dark mode feature available only in the latest versions of two mobile operating systems (iOS 13 and Android 10).  Because iOS 13 and Android 10 support dark mode at system level.

Adam Moseri in his tweet did not say whether the app would support dark mode on devices running iOS or previous versions of Android OS.  However, the app has not yet added the standalone dark mode option inside the settings.

If you have a device running on iOS 13 or Android 10, then you can enjoy Instagram's new feature Dark Mode by just enabling the Dark Mode option at the system level.

If you enable dark mode on Instagram in your device settings then the Instagram app will appear with dark background.  According to Adam Moseri, the new camera design in the app creates a dedicated mode for easy browsing effects and stickers.

However most Mordern iOS devices can be upgraded to iOS 13.1.  But only a few Android devices have received the Android 10 update.  Which also includes Google's Pixel line-up.

Right now only two of its popular mobile operating systems iOS 13 and Android 10 devices have released this option.  For your information, Google updated many of its apps with dark mode background to complement the system-wide dark theme on Android 10.

These apps include Gmail, Chrome, Assistant, and Sound Recorder.  Now it is to see how much benefit the users are going to get with this new feature.
